What Are Some Common Medications That Could Cause Erectile Dysfunction?
There are several medications that can cause erectile dysfunction (ED) as a side effect. The most common medications that cause ED are:
Antidepressants: Medications used to treat depression such as selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) and tricyclic antidepressants can cause ED as a side effect. Examples include

- Sertraline (Zoloft)
- Paroxetine (Paxil).

- chlorpheniramine (Chlor-Trimeton).
Antipsychotics, such as
- chlorpromazine (Thorazine)
- haloperidol (Haldol).
Hormone therapy for prostate cancer that can cause ED side affects:
Medications such as
- leuprolide (Lupron)
- goserelin (Zoladex)
Opioid pain medications that can cause ED:
Medications used to treat pain such as
- oxycodone (OxyContin)
- fentanyl (Duragesic)
Recreational drugs: Some recreational drugs such as cocaine and methamphetamine can cause ED as a side effect.
